In response to recent allegations that actor Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) was spotted smoking cannabis at a party, co-star Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) has spoken out in Dan's defense:

"I haven't seen him over the weekend, but I spoke to him briefly just to make sure he was OK, and he seems to be dealing with it alright. And I think he's come to terms with the fact that the press are [not always] on his side."

Asked about the pressure Harry Potter stars feel to be positive role models, Tom added,

"I think especially for Daniel more than anyone really, and it doesn't make it easier when people are publishing articles that aren't true. And obviously I feel for the guy, and I know he's got a very strong head on him and I know that he'll sail through this one easily. But yes, it's not easy, but no-one can do it better than Daniel."
