USA Today will give out a special bonus today. If you grab their paper today, you can receive a three-dimensional sneak peek at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort before it opens in Spring 2010. With this sneak peek in the newspaper, a computer and a webcam will help you see inside the theme park.

You have to get a copy of the newspaper first. Then put the printed map in that newspaper in front of your webcam, and you can take a closer look at the entire area from all sides and angles through augmented-reality technology. Among the highlights:

• Hogwarts castle will appear.

• Hold the map closer to your webcamand explore Hogsmeade village.

• See where the Hogwarts Express has just arrived.

• Blow on your computer's microphone, and the banners on the map will wave.

Additionally, the Associated Press mentioned this.

The technology blends computer images and real-life environments to provide a tour of the 20-acre park from all angles. For example, holding the map closer to the webcam activates a close-up view of the magical town of Hogsmeade and the Hogwarts Express. Banners on the map flap in the breeze if the microphone is blown into.

This sounds like something fans might want to pick up today. If anyone from Accio-Potter gets one we will update on the features and what we think of the special sneak peek.
